How do I know what a good cob looks like?

A ripe cob will have cream and golden kernels when you pull the husk back. The tassels should also be golden or brown. However, right before or right after it's ripe is also good too depending on your preference!

How do I freeze it?

Everyone likes to freeze it differently, but our family simply peels off the husks, put the amount we'll eat at dinner into a gallon Ziploc bag, and push out as much air as we can. Throw it in the freezer and it will taste fresh all year long! (Seriously, try it!) When you're ready to eat it, just get a pot of water boiling and take the corn straight from the freezer to the pot. Do not let the corn thaw before throwing it into the boiling water, otherwise it will turn to mush.

Brusseau's Dozens only takes cash or checks currently. Checks can be made out to AMANDA BRUSSEAU. There is not an ATM on site so please come prepared.
